Get involved too!

Together, we make the island more sustainable and respectful of the environment. Here are some tips and recommendations to help us contribute to its conservation.

Take care of Menorca as if it were your own home

Use the parking areas: Always park in the designated zones and avoid parking in unauthorized places to preserve the local flora and fauna.

Do not drive off-road vehicles outside of roads and tracks: Respect the signposted paths and avoid damaging the natural environment by driving outside the permitted routes.

Respect the signs: Follow the instructions and marked itineraries to ensure a safe and respectful visit.

Avoid making inscriptions of any kind: Do not leave your mark on rocks, trees, or other natural elements. Nature must remain intact for everyone to enjoy.

Try not to leave any trash

On the beach, on the rocks, or in the sea: Always carry a bag to collect your waste and dispose of it in the appropriate containers.

If you smoke, avoid leaving cigarette butts in the sand, on the rocks, or in the sea: Use portable ashtrays and dispose of cigarette butts responsibly.

Camp only in authorized campsites

Remember that lighting fires is prohibited: Avoid any risk of fire and follow local regulations.

Dogs and other pets are not allowed on the beach: Use the beaches authorized for this purpose and respect the protected areas.

Respect the peace and quiet

Try not to make unnecessary noise: We all have the right to enjoy the peace and serenity that Menorca offers. Respect the environment and other visitors.

Additional tips

Participate in environmental volunteering activities: If you have the opportunity, join local groups like the GOB or Per la Mar Viva, who work for the conservation of Menorca’s natural environment.

Use sustainable transport: Choose bicycles or public transport to move around the island and reduce your carbon footprint.

Learn about local fauna and flora: Knowing the natural richness of Menorca will help you value it more and take better care of it.

Support the circular and zero-kilometer economy: Choose accommodations, restaurants, and shops that prioritize local and seasonal products.
